Grassroots Printed Materials
February 15, 2008 on 7:17 am | In Uncategorized | 3 CommentsI’ve seen many people exchanging talk about difficulties in finding printed materials for use at local rallies and campaign events. I’ve been scouring the web, like many of you, to find good useable items that can be printed at home or inexpensively at places like Kinko’s.
All of the picks I have are located in the right sidebar under GRASSROOT RESOURCES.
Here are the black and white versions (obviously less expensive to have printed and copy) which I think are good for general distribution at different locations (ie. schools, heavy traffic areas).

This is an Obama lapel tag. I know some people have been looking for buttons, but I figured this was a pretty good alternative. The .doc file is set-up for Avery 2 1/2 circular labels available at any office supply store.

This is a multi-print, 30-inch “O” sign in full color. I think making some of these for bigger rallies and gatherings would be a great idea and certain get attention and look impressive. The .doc file is set-up to be printed on cardstock in full color.

A good site that features some full color signs in multiple varieties, colors and sizes for saving and print-out is also www.plushgraphics.com/obama.
I hope these files and images come in handy. Below is a listing of the sites where I found everything. Check them out to see if they have anything you might want and/or need for your next Obama gathering.

Know the Facts.
February 15, 2008 on 4:14 am | In Uncategorized | No CommentsAs we all expected, the Clinton campaign has continued its pursuit of negative campaigning. As an “agent of change” one would hope that Senator Clinton would realize that these types of Bush-esque tactics are something that the bulk of Americans are growing increasingly tired of.
Now that Senator Obama is gaining impressive momentum and mobilizing grassroots support on never before seen scale, the Clinton camp is obviously getting nervous and pulling out all of the dirty tricks in an attempt to mislead the public about Senator Obama’s records.
A tremendous resource I’ve come across recently is the website http://www.factcheck.org. It contains information from various campaigns and presents the facts on information that can be proven as having been distorted or worded to falsely present information.
Bill Clinton’s Campaign Manager Endorses Obama

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The man who served as national manager of former President Clinton’s 1992 campaign plans to endorse Sen. Barack Obama, an aide to Obama said Wednesday.
Obama’s campaign planned a 1 p.m. conference call Wednesday to announce the endorsement by David Wilhelm, who later became chairman of the Democratic National Committee, according to an aide who spoke on condition of anonymity because the announcement would be made public later in the day.
Wilhelm planned to tell reporters that Obama can build a coalition of Democrats, independents and Republicans needed to win the general election.
Wilhelm is a superdelegate who was previously uncommitted in the race. His endorsement helps Obama in the race for delegates, in which he pulled ahead after Tuesday’s sweeps of primaries in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia. Clinton remains considerably ahead in superdelegates, which are party officials, elected officials and others who can vote however they choose at the nominating convention.
If the race for pledged delegates based on outcomes in caucuses and primaries across the country remains tight, superdelegates could decide the nomination.
Obama leads the delegate race with 1,224 to 1,198 to Clinton, according to the latest count by The Associated Press.
8 In a Row - Let’s Keep it Up!
February 13, 2008 on 8:08 pm | In Uncategorized | No CommentsLast night we watched as three more states stood up for change and in a unified, bolsterous voice called out, “YES WE CAN”.
Sweeping the Potomic primaries, Barack made us all proud by showing the dramatic support he is gaining across all demographics. Step-by-step, inch-by-inch this campaign is getting closer and closer to showing our candidate is the guy who can change the stagnant nature of Washington politics.
Now it’s up to us - grassroots supporters in places like Texas and Ohio. We have to step up and get the word out, convince voters that change is possible and we owe it to ourselves and our country to seek it out.
Find an event in your area, get out and talk to your neighbors, read Barack’s “Blueprint for Change” and brush up on the issues so you can speak to voters in an informed manner. Over this past weekend I was able to help my Mother decide on the candidate she was going to support simply by sitting down with her and chatting about Barack and his vision for America.
Sometimes it is as easy as just having a casual conversation with someone, but speaking openly and honestly about the issues and why you feel Barack is the best choice to lead us in a new and better direction.

Houston Obama Rally for Change - Feb. 9, 2008
February 12, 2008 on 8:57 pm | In Uncategorized | 1 CommentDemonstrating how determined and passionate Houstonians are about Senator Barack Obama’s presidental campaign, volunteers and supporters gathered at the official grand opening of the Obama Volunteer center at 2520 Southmore Blvd.
An enthusiastic crowd lined the streets and hopeful volunteers streamed out of the front door waiting to sign-up to take part in this historic campaign. An almost palpable sense of excitement and hope filled the air and was apparent on the varied faces of the Obama-supporters.
One of many coming rallies in the Houston area.

Hope Action Change - It Begins with Us
February 12, 2008 on 8:44 pm | In Uncategorized | No CommentsThe idea for this website began a few months ago when, shockingly enough, I found myself inspired by a politician.
It’s rare in this day and age to feel like you’re apart of an actual movement, but like many Americans I have found myself in exactly that position.
I believe that Barack Obama will be the next President of the United States and more than that I believe that the message of hope and of possibility that he’s brought to us is something that will reverberate throughout the consciousness of our society for years to come.
When I decided to build this site, I wanted it to include information on the campaign as well as resources for people ready to help make change in their lives. You can find links to your right on Barack’s stance on the issues, as well as Grassroot Resources. These resources range from printed materials to information you might need in order to better communicate Barack’s message of change.
I am also going to feature information on various organizations, of non-profits, of causes that need champions. If there is one thing that Barack Obama has made us all realize it is that we are powerful beyond our wildest expectations and we have the right and the responsibility to use that power to effect positive change for all people.
With the Texas Primary being held on March 4, 2008, this state’s importance has never been more apparent. Organizing volunteers here on the ground is the most important thing we can do to get Barack’s message out.
